What is BuckBidz?

Welcome to BuckBidz, the home of exciting, fast-paced auctions on the internet.

Every day we sell brand new top-name products at incredibly low prices in auctions that start at just 0.5$ with no reserve.

Here's how it works: To get started, you need to buy some bids. Bids cost 50 cents each and are sold in packs of 25, 50 or 100. Each bid placed increases the price of the product by 1 cent and the auction countdown by up to 30 seconds (If up to the end there were 15 seconds). To help keep track of the money spent on bidding, each auction displays the amount spent on bids by the customer and how much the bidder would save overall, if they were to win the auction at that moment. The `last bidder standing` when the countdown reaches zero, wins the auction - usually at a very low price. Winners save, on average, 65% when compared to the recommended retail price.

How do I bid on BuckBidz?

Bidding on BuckBidz is straightforward. Just follow these four simple steps:

  3. Pick an auction

Register for free
If you want to bid online, you`ll first need to register. Registration is free and easy. In order to confirm your won auctions, you will need to confirm your email address by clicking on the link in the confirmation email sent to your account.
Once you`re confirmed: congratulations - you`ve registered fully with BuckBidz.

Charge up your account with bids
Each bid costs just 50 pence, available in "BidPacks" of 20, 50, 100, 250 and 500. Pick the size of BidPack you want and decide how you want to pay: either with a credit or debit card, or via PayPal.

Pick an auction
What will it be? A brand new 42" plasma TV? The latest notebook computer? Or maybe a new leather handbag? Pick your product and go for it! You`ll always find a selection of our most exciting auctions on the homepage, or you can browse through the categories to find just what you`re looking for.

I’ve just won an auction. What now?

Firstly, congratulations - well done on winning the auction!

Confirming your win
Once the auction has ended, you’ll be automatically transferred to a page where we’ll ask you to confirm that you still want the item and explain what to do next. You’ll have the opportunity to redeem any vouchers you may have and will be told how to pay the final amount. We’ll also contact you via e-mail to explain how to do all this. Just remember to confirm that you still want the item within 7 days of the end of the auction. If you still haven’t confirmed within 21 days, we’ll assume that you’ve changed your mind and no longer want to buy the item.

Paying for the item you won
Just as for your bids, you can pay for your item by credit or debit card, or via PayPal. Please make sure that you pay within 7 days of the end of the auction. We’ll confirm you payment via e-mail and arrange for the item to be shipped to you. If the item hasn’t arrived within 14 days of our confirmation of our payment, please contact us.

 

 

 

Substitute items

On rare occasions we are no longer able to source the specific item detailed in the auction. When this happens, we will contact you and offer to send you an equivalent item of at least equal value. Many of the products we sell are high-technology items that have a short life-cycle, so often this will mean an upgrade to the newer version of the item.

Delivery Charges

The delivery charges for each item are shown on the auction description page. The charges shown are for delivery to mainland UK and Northern Ireland addresses. We’re sorry, but we’re not able to deliver to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles, Scottish Islands, the Republic of Ireland or BFPO addresses.

Delivery time

Delivery times vary for the different items that we auction. Most of our items are shipped directly from our suppliers, with the majority of orders arriving within 14 days of payment. We’ll let you know as soon as your item has been dispatched.

Has my product been shipped yet?

If you still haven’t received your product and it’s more than 14 days since you paid for your item, please contact our customer service team. Most of our items are shipped directly from our suppliers and will be sent soon after you have paid.

Which countries does BuckBidz deliver to?

What should I do, if the item I won is faulty?

Firstly, we’re sorry that you have received an item that you are not happy with. Most of our winners have no problems with the goods they receive, but occasionally an item might not work or may get damaged in transit. If this has happened, our aim is to solve your problem as quickly as possible.

It can sometimes be useful to check the manufacturer’s website or call their helpline – many of the most common problems are easily solved without having to return the product.

In the event that the product you received is faulty, please contact us and we’ll tell you what to do next. Please, let us know the auction ID and the serial number of the product, as these help us to deal with your problem more quickly.

We work with a range of different suppliers who are happy to help identify any problems and to replace faulty items, if necessary.
Please don’t send the item back to us without contacting us – this is likely to mean that it takes longer to replace your item. If your product does need replacing, we’ll contact you and let you know what to do.

Do you offer a standard guarantee on the products auctioned?

The warranties provided on goods may vary depending on the type of item that you win. Please contact our customer service team if you have any queries about the warranties or guarantees that apply to an item that you’ve won.

Can I return an item that I have won?

We want you to enjoy the item you won, but if, for whatever reason you decide that you do not want the item, please get in touch with our customer service team and we’ll explain what to do next. When you contact us, please make sure that you let us know:
- Your user name
- The auction ID of the item you won
- The reason you’d like to return the item
Please note that we can only offer a refund on the final price of the item you won as well as shipping costs, not on the cost of the bids placed on that auction.

Can I get a refund on an item that I have won?

If, within 14 days of delivery, you decide you no longer want the item, we will be happy to refund the final price that you paid as well as the delivery costs, provided the item has not been damaged and is still in its original packaging. Please contact our customer service team for details of what to do, making sure to include the auction ID and your user name. Note that we are unable to refund the cost of any bids placed during the auction or the return shipping costs.

 

 

 

How can I pay for my bids?

You can pay for your BidPacks by credit or debit card, via PayPal or ClickandBuy. We accept all Visa and MasterCard credit cards, Visa debit cards including Visa Electron and Maestro debit cards. We`re sorry but we are unable to accept payment by American Express or Diners` Card.

How can I pay for auctions I`ve won?

You can pay for items that you`ve won by credit or debit card, or via PayPal. We accept all Visa and MasterCard credit cards, Visa debit cards including Visa Electron and Maestro debit cards. We’re sorry but we are unable to accept payment by American Express or Diners’ Card.

How secure are your payment methods?

What happens to the auctions during system downtime?

Downtime, or outage, is an occasional and unforeseeable problem with the internet, and means that bids cannot be placed during this short period when we are offline. If we experience downtime at any point, we automatically add ten minutes on to the auction end time, so that our bidders are not left at a disadvantage. It is impossible to place any bids whilst the system is experiencing downtime, so any bids attempted during this period will not be debited from your account. If this situation does occur, we advise you to refresh your screen regularly, either by pressing F5 or the refresh button on your browser.

Important security notice: Employees of BuckBidz will never ask you for your password in emails or on the phone. Consequently, please do not send your password to anyone and don`t hesitate to contact our customer service team at support@buckbidz.com if you receive such a message.

What`s the danger of fake emails (Spoof und Phishing)?

Such emails, also called "Phishing" or "Spoofing" emails are sent in order to illegally obtain confidential information such as passwords or credit card details. Please be highly suspicious if you`re asked in an email for such confidential data.

 

 

 

1. General / Overview

The following General Terms and Conditions shall apply to the business relationship between www.buckbidz.com "BuckBidz" and our users. By using BuckBidz, the user accepts the following General Terms and Conditions, as well as the manner in which BuckBidz and its “BidButler” operate as described on the website www.buckbidz.com Variations or alterations in the following Terms and Conditions shall only be binding upon BuckBidz if agreed to in writing.

Any special promotions run by BuckBidz shall only be valid if they are announced on BuckBidz’s website or in its corresponding email newsletter. Certain promotions may only be valid for a limited time, and details of any such timings will be announced on the website or in a newsletter. Once the advertised time limit of any such promotion has been reached, or the relevant auction or auctions have ended, the promotion is also finished.

Any bidding advice or other written materials (for instance, ‘Help’ articles) posted on BuckBidz are provided solely as suggestions and are not intended to be relied upon. BuckBidz is not liable or responsible for any actions taken due to a user or other person having read or been told about such advice or other written materials.

2. Eligibility to Participate / Registration with “BuckBidz” / Disqualification

By placing a bid on BuckBidz, the user declares that they are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that they are at least 18 years old.

Employees and relatives of employees of BuckBidz are not eligible to participate in BuckBidz auctions under any circumstances.

Online registration is not required to take part in BuckBidz auctions. Non-registered users can also participate in the auctions by phone. However, only registered users can use the full functionality of “BuckBidz”, and the other BuckBidz options. BuckBidz recommends that all users register online.

BuckBidz’s products and services are offered exclusively to private users and not to commercial or partly-commercial resellers. BuckBidz reserves the right to exclude commercial resellers from the participation in the auctions and to close their user accounts at any time.

Each user may register only once using their postal address (registration using PO Boxes or equivalents is not permitted). Additionally, only one user registration per household is permitted.

During the registration process, the user must choose a username. The username must not be offensive, be selected to deceive or mis-inform other users, may not offend common decency or infringe upon the rights of third parties. If BuckBidz receives information of a username which is illegal or in breach of these Terms, this username can be amended by BuckBidz without prior notice. The corresponding user password is to be kept secret by the user. User accounts created during registration are non-transferable. The user account may be used only by the user and not by anyone else. Any abuse of the user account, be it to the detriment of third parties or to the detriment of BuckBidz, shall result in the disqualification of the user and the reporting of a crime. In general, the user shall be liable for all activities that are undertaken using the user account together with the associated password.

BuckBidz reserves the right to temporarily or permanently disqualify a user, or disable their account. Users will be disqualified when in the reasonable opinion of BuckBidz, a member has violated the laws or the rights of third parties. A user will be disqualified if such action will protect the rights of other users, or to prevent unauthorised manipulation or use of BuckBidz. Examples of such unauthorised usage include (but are not limited to) non-payment of bids, use of unauthorised third-party bidding software or set up of multiple user accounts by the same individual. In case of a breach of these terms by a user, BuckBidz reserves the right to withhold deliveries or refunds for bids. BuckBidz also reserves the right to make a reasonable administration charge deductible for unused bids at its discretion.

Furthermore, BuckBidz reserves the right to limit the number of auctions a user may participate in or win at its own discretion. Please refer to our separate acceptable use policy for additional information.

3. Bid Purchasing for Online Bidding / Payment / FreeBids

Bidding rights, so-called “bids”, must be purchased and paid for by users prior to online bidding. Bids can be purchased in packages (so-called “BidPacks”) at the currently applicable prices, which can be viewed in “BuckBidz” under “Buy Online Bids”.

Payment can be made by credit/debit card or via payment agents such as PayPal.

Should a payment not be honoured by a user, a returned payment fee will be charged. The user will be responsible for these fees. BuckBidz reserves the right to block access to the user’s account until payment in full of the invoice amount, including any fees due to returned payment etc., and to withhold any outstanding deliveries until payment is received in full.

Certain bids (e.g. some "FreeBids") are valid only for a limited time. Upon expiration of the time stated, the bids expire and can no longer be placed. Refunds are not available for expired bids.

Any bidz purchased with BuckBidz.com are not refundable in any situation.

4. Bidding / Use of the BuckBidz

Users can bid in two ways online. Bids can be placed by clicking on the relevant bid buttons. Once a bid is placed, it is deducted from the user’s bid account.

Non-registered users can only bid in auctions by calling the premium-rate phone number provided and by entering the corresponding auction number. The costs for the bid are invoiced to the user via the telephone provider. Prices on phone networks may vary, and calls from mobile phones may be considerably higher. Please check with your network provider before bidding. As telephone bidders can only be identified by their phone number, BuckBidz will not accept telephone bids from withheld numbers.

The user can read about how the BuckBidz operates in the “Help” section. The user is prohibited from using bidding software not authorised by BuckBidz, and doing so will result in immediate disqualification from use (see clause 2: Eligibility and the Acceptable Use Policy).

In some cases Buckbidz have the full right to refund bidz that a client used and delete the auction without any notice.

 

5. How the Auctions Work

With each bid placed, either online or by phone, the price of the item on which the user is bidding increases by the amount specified (for instance by 0.50$ or 0.25$). A bid submitted by the user constitutes an offer from that user to BuckBidz to enter into a binding contract to purchase the item. A contract to purchase the item does not come into effect until the auction is finished and the last bidder has followed all the steps in clause number 6.

Each new bid resets the ‘remaining time’ for an auction up to, but not above, the displayed countdown reset value (usually, 10, 15 or 20 seconds). The auction ends when the remaining time reaches zero. The user who was the last to bid then wins the auction. All other bids on the item expire and will not be refunded. The last bidder is determined based on the records in BuckBidz’s database and BuckBidz’s decision regarding who is the last bidder shall be final (save in the case of manifest error).

6. Acceptance of the Win / Payment

After an auction has ended, the last bidder (“winner”) must go to “BuckBidz user area”. Here, information such as total price (including shipping costs) and payment options will be displayed. The user must actively confirm and pay the total price (end price plus shipping costs) for the win by following the steps indicated on that page or elsewhere on the website. Once the winner has clicked on the confirmation button the win is accepted. If an auction win has not been confirmed and paid within 21 days of the auction end date, unless there are exceptional circumstances BuckBidz reserves the right to withdraw the offer to conclude a contract and the winner’s right to pay for and receive delivery of an item will be permanently revoked. In this instance, the bids placed in that auction are non-refundable. The user must pay the total price when confirming the win. After confirming the win and paying the amount due, the winner will receive a confirmation e-mail.

Telephone bidders will be contacted by phone in the event that they win (see clause 4).

The item will not be sent to the user until the total price has been paid to BuckBidz. A similar requirement for delivery is that all bids purchased and used by the user have been properly paid for. Should bids that have already been purchased and used not have been paid for, payments received shall be viewed as payment toward the bids not yet paid for, and we reserve the right to retain the item purchased at auction until all bids and the total price have been paid for in full.

An invoice containing the auction price and shipping costs will be sent to the user by BuckBidz once delivery has been arranged.

7. Returns and Cancellations

BuckBidz grants winners the right to cancel an order. But all the bids on Buckbidz are not refundable.

In order to complete the cancellation or a return user must contact support service of Buckbidz at support@buckbidz.com. User is also responsable for all the shipping cost.

All the payments made to Buckbidz and to the paypal account owner  are not refundable on any sircumstances.

8. Delivery

Unless otherwise stated, delivery will be made directly from our suppliers or from our warehouse to the address provided by the user. Deliveries are made solely within the Canada and United States of America( Delivery in Europe is also available).Delivery times vary and any delivery time indicated is provided only as a guide and is not guaranteed. BuckBidz shall be entitled to involve third parties to satisfy its contractual obligations without being required to notify the buyer. Obvious damage to the item from transport or packaging damaged during transport is to be reported to BuckBidz upon taking delivery.

Should BuckBidz not be able to deliver the item ordered, BuckBidz shall be entitled to substitute the item with a comparable replacement product with the same or better features, no refunds can be made. Buckbidz.com is not responsible for any transport dammage. for more information contact the postal service provider.

9. Offsetting / Withholding Payment / Retention of Title

The user shall only have the right to reduce any sums that they may owe to BuckBidz if he or she has a claim against BuckBidz that BuckBidz does not dispute.

The user is not entitled by reason of any alleged minor defect to withhold more than a proportionate amount of the sum due.

The item delivered shall remain BuckBidz’s property until payment cleared for the bids purchased. Until such time as payment has been made in full the user undertakes to store the item separately from their other possessions.

10. Damages / Reimbursement of Expenses / Limits on Liability

BuckBidz’s total liability in contract, tort (including negligence), misrepresentation or otherwise in relation to these General Terms and Conditions shall be limited to $1,000cad.

BuckBidz shall not be liable to the user for: any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage; or loss of data or other equipment or property; or economic loss or damage; or incurring of liability for loss or damage of any nature whatsoever suffered by third parties (including in each case incidental and punitive damages); or any loss of actual or anticipated profit, interest, revenue, anticipated savings or business or damage to goodwill, even if BuckBidz is advised in advance of the possibility of any such losses or damages.

In particular, BuckBidz shall not be liable for faulty operation of telephones or computers during bid placement and for incorrect or overly slow transmission of bidding data by the telephone or internet provider (including but not limited to those specified in condition 12 below). Should such an event occur, the bidder shall have no legal right to the purchase or receipt of an item.

BuckBidz shall not be liable for any losses arising from the user’s subsequent use or misuse of the item including (without limitation): fair wear and tear; willful damage; and the user’s negligence or any failure to follow BuckBidz’s instructions as to placing of the bids.
Liability for damage arising from loss of life and limb, health, or well-being, as well as that according to product liability shall not be affected. These terms and conditions shall not affect a user’s statutory rights regarding the return of defective goods and claims in respect of losses caused by any negligence on the part of BuckBidz.

11. Guarantee

Items offered for auction are provided as fit for purpose. If goods develop a fault BuckBidz does not gurante any refund or a replacment.

BuckBidz will take all reasonable care to ensure that details, descriptions and prices of products which are featured on its website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. BuckBidz shall endeavour to keep the website as up to date as possible but can offer no guarantees that the information including descriptions of products on the website is still accurate when a user visits the website and/or bids for products.

12. System Outage / Temporarily Halted Auctions

A system outage has occurred if no bids can be submitted for items due to an unforeseeable disruption in a system. In such a case, auctions will be temporarily halted and the remaining times for the auctions, the current bidding price and the current highest bidder will be maintained. After the disruption has been resolved, the auctions will be continued and 10 minutes will be added to the remaining times for the auctions. Temporarily halted auctions are clearly indicated. Bidders who are bidding on temporarily halted auctions shall have no right to a refund for bids used or other costs incurred.

With the currently available technology, it is not possible to develop and operate computer programs (software) and data processing systems (hardware) completely without errors, or to rule out any unpredictable events in connection with the internet (hereinafter referred to collectively as “technical faults”). BuckBidz, therefore, provides no guarantee for the constant and uninterrupted availability of its website and technical systems. In addition, but not subject to, the provisions of clause number 10, BuckBidz shall not be liable for any damage whatsoever incurred by auction users or third parties from using BuckBidz’s services. In particular, BuckBidz shall not be liable for damage that occurs due to bids submitted by auction users not being received by BuckBidz or not being received promptly or not being considered, as a consequence of technical faults.

13. Applicable Law / Severability Clause

Canadian law shall apply and shall exclude application of the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods.

To the extent legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Canada.

14. Protection of Data: Collection, Processing, and Use of our Customers’ Personal Information

The protection of your data is very important to us.

16. General

The contract between BuckBidz and users is binding on the parties and on their respective successors and assigns. The user may not transfer, assign, charge or otherwise dispose of any contract formed under these General Terms and Conditions or any of their rights or obligations without BuckBidz’s prior written consent.

BuckBidz has the right to revise and amend these General Terms and Conditions from time to time in its absolute discretion but for reasons including but not limited to changes in market conditions affecting BuckBidz’s business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in BuckBidz’s system capabilities. All users will be subject to the policies and terms and conditions in force at the time that they have successfully bid for items listed on the BuckBidz website, unless any change to such policies or terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority or BuckBidz notifies its users of the changes to such policies or General Terms and Conditions before BuckBidz sends information relating to dispatch (in which case BuckBidz has the right to assume that all successful winners have accepted the changes to the terms and conditions unless notified to the contrary with 7 working days by the user of the items).
BuckBidz is the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights on the BuckBidz website and the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world and all rights relating to the same are reserved. Users may print one copy and may download extracts of pages for personal reference only. Users may not modify any paper or digital copies of any materials printed or downloaded. Users must also not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. Users must not use any part of the materials on the BuckBidz website for commercial purposes.

Note: We would like to advise all users to monitor their bidding practices. Buying bids online at www.BuckBidz.com or dialing premium rate phone numbers frequently or repeatedly can incur high costs. Users should therefore pay attention to their bidding practices and check their telephone charges regularly. The information in your BuckBidz account and in your Swoopo profile is password protected, so that only you have access to this personal information. Please note that you are not permitted to provide your password to anyone else. BuckBidz will never ask for your password in e-mails that you receive unexpectedly or that you did not request. Please remember to log out of your account and to close your internet browser window when you leave the BuckBidz site; this is especially important if you use a PC in public locations. At present, this is the safest way to ensure that no one has access to your personal information. We assume no liability for the abuse of login data and passwords used.

Protection from Web Crawlers or Spam

BuckBidz assures you that we will use your e-mail address with your express consent only for the purposes stated in the Terms of Use. We will not sell your e-mail address to third parties, and we will prevent your e-mail address from being recorded by `web crawlers` or `web spiders` to the best of our ability.
